Avgolemono is a traditional Greek soup (Avgolemono is literally “egg-lemon” in Greek) that is silky, creamy, tangy, and oh-so-satisfying. Its made with WS’s savory long-simmered chicken stock, shredded chicken, orzo, eggs, and lemon. (In Greek villages, people make a kissing sound while making avgolemono as it’s known as a magical trick to keep the egg from curdling - we do it here at WS too!)
This meal comes with pita bread.
Black pepper, Chicken, Chicken Stock (Bay Leaf, Carrot, Celery, Chicken Bones, Onion, Parsley, Thyme, Tomato Paste), Coriander, Dill, Eggs, Garlic, Lemon, Orzo, Rice, Salt
- Gently simmer, until hot.
- Garnish with dill.
- Serve with pita bread.
